The Man in Black recorded arguably the definitive version of this often-covered, Geoff Mack penned song. Lyrically adapted from Mack’s Australian homeland for North America by Hank Snow in 1962, the song is a real anthem for the hardened traveller. Cash breathlessly fires out the many destinations listed in the song, while an unashamedly catchy country rock beat propels him along. A real favourite for the American road.
